Alongside his role as a Strategic Partner at Lunara Partners, Moustafa is the Managing Partner of Avante Capital Advisory, which is a is a premier boutique M&A advisory and investment consultancy firm. Prior to this, he served as Chief Executive Officer of EFG Hermes in the UAE and Group Head of Coverage, where he led the firm’s largest regional office, scaled the investment banking platform, and expanded its presence across key MENA markets. Earlier in his career, Moustafa held senior roles at HSBC, working with regional corporates and institutions in the corporate and investment department.
Over his career, Moustafa has led more than 40 complex M&A transactions and IPOs with an aggregate value exceeding USD 30 billion across multiple regional markets. In addition to the above professions, Moustafa is an active angel, supporting early and growth-stage founders across MENA and select international markets, as well as bringing a strong founder-first perspective to his advisory and board roles.
Moustafa serves on multiple boards of directors across diverse industries and geographies and is deeply committed to mentorship and founder development. Beyond the boardroom, he is a sports enthusiast and the founder of KingFut.com, a leading football platform launched in 2012 to elevate Egyptian and African football to global audiences. He is also an active member of the Young Presidents’ Organization, serving on both the MENA and International Network Boards.
